Okay that's what I thought! As for BBS...basically every time Vanitas has a feeling, it takes the shape of an Unversed which is a physical manifestation of that emotion! If it's destroyed the emotion goes back into himself. They're not technically "pieces" of himself, they're just his emotions turned into physical beings that follow his direction
